Who is this for?
For this multi-activity long weekend, we assume you are very fit and have good stamina ie can do a full day’s activity and still find it enjoyable. We do not expect you to have high levels of technical ability for each specific activity – more that you have the right mental attitude to tackle it.

For all the activities you will have a qualified guide. They will assess your limits and choose the intensity and difficulty of the activity based on your group’s ability.

Saturday - arrival and Via Ferrata
You’ll arrive in Barèges mid morning and have time to eat lunch before we head straight off to Gedre and its challenging via ferrata.

Today we’ll do an Adventurer level hike, making the most of our time in the mountains to do an ascent of over 3000 metres, and get right to the border of Spain. This will be a full day’s hiking, up to 7 hours, and passing a range of scenery from pastures to woods to airy ridges and breath-taking peaks.

Not one we normally offer, due to its high injury rate, you need to know what you’re doing for this cross country mountain biking. The Pyrenees has a fantastic selection of unknown mountainbike routes, which take you through forests and sleepy villages on a downhill dream.
Or if you prefer, you can opt for half a day’s paragliding, where you get to soar with the eagles and vultures (seriously!) and see the mountains from heady heights before gracefully gliding to earth.

Our programme is completely flexible and we can offer tailored holidays with your own choice and number of activities.
Our price for the above multi activity holiday itinerary is 595 euros per person.
This includes all activities with qualified guides, equipment hire, local transport, food and accommodation. You must have your own insurance to cover these activities. The price may vary if you select your own activities. Please consult our glossary of activities for more ideas.
Some activities are weather dependent and may be changed at short notice. We will always offer you an alternative activity, such as more guided walking (e.g the beautiful Neouvielle lakes tour with an optional swim in a chilly mountain lake), horse riding, mountain biking and attractions such as the showcaves at Betharam, the Pic du Midi observatory, the Pic de Jer funicular and the town of Lourdes.
