A fun-filled trip with 2 full-days and 2 half-days of activities to keep you busy but allow plenty of time to relax and explore on your own. Activities include caving, rock-climbing, rafting, hot-dog and the brilliant Chlorofil tree-top park.
Who is this for?
Our "Action" multi activity holidays are aimed at active people looking to discover the Pyrenees mountains from every angle - on land and in the water, above and underground. We’ve selected a range of activities spread throughout the week to keep you busy, but still leave plenty of time for relaxing and exploring in your own time.

Accommodation
This week you’ll have two accommodation choices in the traditional French mountain village of Barèges, either our 3-star catered chalet or our 3-star hotel.
Both are of a high standard, providing amenities to help you relax after your day’s activities, including filling meals.
What will you do?
This is a typical week’s itinerary for an Adrenaline Pyrenees multi-activity week.

Saturday - arrival
Arrive late afternoon. We suggest a leisurely 45 minute stroll to the creperie at St Justin where you can enjoy a traditional French snack in the sunshine. The restaurant is on an isolated promontory looking out onto the lovely Bastan valley, the village of Barèges and the towering mountains on every side - it can only be accessed on foot and has wonderful views.

Pyrenees Caving
Pyrenees Caving
Your slippery-slidey morning caving involving climbing, wriggling and crawling through a series of stunning underground caves - guaranteed to get you muddy.
After a picnic lunch beside the river, we take the classic way of descending a mountain river and jump into rafts. The Gave de Pau river runs very fast in spring and early summer, dropping to a good fun grade 2-3 later in the season. Your instructor comes with you, pointing out the best routes and ensuring that everyone has a chance for a quick wash to get rid of that caving mud!

There are a range of options for your free day. You could visit Barèges’ thermal spa, the highest in France. Or perhaps take a trip to the Pic du Midi observatory.
It’s also possible to take the bus to Luz St-Sauveur or the pretty spa town of Argelès-Gazost. Here you can stock up on the delicious local sheep’ cheeses and ‘saucissons sec’ (knobbly French salamis).
The pilgrimage town of Lourdes is also accessible by public transport (about 1hr by bus).
For those who can’t sit still, there are plenty of trails to be explored on foot from Barèges, and we can arrange additional activities such as horse trekking, or even just more of your favourite activity so far. Our multi-activity glossary provides a list of what is available in the area.

The park has four levels of course; easy green routes, daring blues, tricky reds and mega-challenging blacks.
There are log-balances, cargo-nets, suspended tunnels, monkey bridges, tarzan swings and, best of all, huge long zip-lines to send you whizzing through the branches.
Surprisingly challenging, Chlorofil really is a great day out for all ages - and the ice-creams aren't bad either!

Saturday – time to leave
After an action packed week, we leave for the airport in the morning, ready to head home.
An important note about multi-activity holidays
This is an example itinerary for an "Action" multi-activity holiday in the Pyrenees.
Our programme is completely flexible and we can offer tailored holidays with your own choice and number of activities.
Our price for the above multi activity holiday itinerary is 750 € per person, or 700 € pp for 3 or more sharing a family bedroom in the chalet or a standard room in Hotel du Tourmalet.
This includes all activities with qualified guides, equipment hire, local transport, food and accommodation. You must have your own insurance to cover these activities. The price may vary if you select your own activities. Please consult our glossary of activities for more ideas.
Some activities are weather dependent and may be changed at short notice. We will always offer you an alternative activity, such as more guided walking (e.g the beautiful Neouvielle lakes tour with an optional swim in a chilly mountain lake), horse riding, mountain biking and attractions such as the showcaves at Betharam, the Pic du Midi observatory, the Pic de Jer funicular and the town of Lourdes.
Now choose your multi-activity dates from our calendar, then contact us to book.
