For information on the chalet as a ski, snowboard or snow-shoeing base, please read our ski chalet page.

MountainBug has exclusive use of the renovated, 18th century chalet, Les Cailloux, which is owned by our founding Directors, Robert and Emma Mason.

Independent holiday makers can chose the accommodation only option at either the hotel or chalet.

When you book one of our MountainBug activity holidays, your full-board package includes breakfast, packed lunch, afternoon tea and evening meal.

Les Cailloux, the 3-star chalet (rating from Gites de France) has five spacious, characterful and well-appointed bedrooms, one of which is a very large two-bedroom suite.

Each bedroom has an en-suite shower room, and we can offer double, twin or family (4 to 6 people sharing) accommodation for up to 14 people.

The rear terrace of our chalet - perfect for BBQ!

As well as your own room, you will have access to the spacious lounge and games room, with a lovely wood-burning stove, well-stocked bar, coffee bar, big-screen home cinema and a selection of English books, magazines, games, and dvds.

We also have a large dining room with free Wi-Fi access, a heated equipment room (for coats, boots and skis), and a sauna - perfect for relaxing tired muscles after a hard day in the mountains!

We offer half-board at the chalet over Winter and full-board over Summer, with a high standard of meals.

A typical continental breakfast would include fresh bread and croissants with butter and jams, a selection of cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, orange juice, tea and coffee.

A Summer packed lunch consists of a generous baguette sandwich, cake/cereal-bar, piece of fruit and a bag of crisps. Plenty to keep you going for a day on the mountains!

Afternoon tea is served with a freshly baked cake, allowing you to relax after a day in the mountains, before we serve our generous 3 course evening meal with after dinner coffee in the living room.

To help you decide if the chalet is the right accommodation option for you, we have put together a list of the key differences between the chalet and hotel.
